Freddy

I was born in November 7, 1978 very far down in South America in Santiago, Chile. I was born a very fat baby, about 9 1/2 lbs. and delivered in who knows how many hours, maybe even days. I spent most of my time as a baby in 2025 Suecia Ave.in a house that, by the way, no longer exists. They had to build condos on that site.

I am the oldest of three kids. My mom thought it was better to have us every 6 years. So, my brother Michael is 21 and my sister Arlene is 15. We all grew up in a good neighborhood called Florida in Santiago far enough from the pollution but close enough to the city. There are about seven million people in our city so whenever we could we took trips out of the city for summer vacation. We loved loading the vehicles with bathing suits and paddle ball games to take off to the northern beaches. I remember many times stuffing ourselves into the little mini cooper my dad owned with blankets and in the back. We would hang out there forever until we reached the coast. Man, just getting out from the back of that car was a whole process for us.
I am the third
generation member of the LDS church. I was baptized when I was 12 years old by Elders Blair and Skusend. Growing up i enjoyed skateboarding everywhere and playing the electric guitar. I attended an all boys Catholic high school from Monday to Saturday where i had a lot of chances to perform for the students. When i turned 15 I started producing Hip Hop music for my MC. friend. The band got pretty popular but really took off when I moved to USA. In 1998 I moved to Utah hoping to learn English and go to Brigham Young University. I had the language down in about 6 months. In Utah I made many friends one of which became my wife. Eliza was the woman of my life since the first time I met her in one of the classes at BYU.

In 1998, I left Provo, Utah to serve a mission. While in the MTC (Missionary Training Center) I had a lot of fun and struggled to learn Portuguese from English. Yep! It was as crazy as it sounds. In Florida I finished perfecting my new language while preaching the word of God and making new friends from Boca Raton to the Keys. 2001 was time to go home. Aside from their science program, BYU was great. Eliza and I got married on August of that year. Now we live in New York. It is so fun to live here so many different cultures and so much to learn. Right now I go to Stony Brook University where I got my degree in Psychology. Awesome school, just a little dirty but their science is top notch. Currently I am getting ready to take the DAT so that I can apply to dental school.
